Ed Barton

Ed attended Westminster School, London and Manchester University. He worked for the corporate financier Nicholas Kittoe's corporate finance boutique, Kittoe & Co, giving board level financial advice to a range of small to medium sized companies, including the Sporting Index Group. Ed also worked for Hydra Consulting on secondment from Nicholas Kittoe's office where he was commissioned by this London-based digital media consultancy to lead a project researching the best ways for the Sporting Index Group to exploit digital sales channels.

Ed subsequently joined Sporting Index Group Holdings as a Business Development Manager in the office of Lindsay McNeile, co-founder and MD of Sporting Index, where he worked extensively on successful capital raising exercises to fund the creation of SportingOdds and Financial Spreads. Subsequently Ed moved to SportingOdds as a Business Development Manager responsible for making deals with online distribution partners and managing the ongoing relationships.

Ed is a leading authority on the global remote gambling and video games industries. He has completed numerous major studies on the gambling and video games industries for Screen Digest as well as consultancy projects including board level strategic advisory work on online gambling, fantasy sports, skill gaming, mobile gaming, online gaming, games publishing, Asian MMO's and next generation console software. Ed has spoken at industry conferences and is regularly cited in both consumer and trade coverage of the gambling and games industries.

Ed heads coverage of gambling for Screen Digest and and is also a key member of the the video games team. His interests include sports, gambling, video games and the Internet.
