PEVE Entertainment 2012: British Museum, London, 27-28 March 2012
First keynote speaker revealed for PEVE Entertainment 2012
An exciting consumer-led programme and a fantastic new venue will give PEVE Entertainment 2012 a fresh new look for the future. IHS Screen Digest is pleased to announce that Danny Kaye, Executive Vice President, Global Research and Technology Strategy, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is to keynote at PEVE Entertainment 2012. Danny is responsible for new technologies for packaged media and digital distribution, consumer research, retail category management and market intelligence. He will assess how entertainment consumption is changing, what impact these changes are having on consumer behaviour and, crucially, how the industry needs to react to make the most of this evolution. The programme for PEVE Entertainment 2012 will comprise a compelling mix of keynote speeches, fireside chats and panel sessions addressing the complete entertainment business: from theatrical, through home entertainment - both physical and digital - to the pay TV window and beyond. And the end-users won't be forgotten either: PEVE's unique 'on-stage focus groups' will be back in a higher profile slot, giving delegates a rare opportunity to engage directly with consumers and find out how their consumption entertainment is changing - and what to do about it. It's not just the programme that will be shaken up at PEVE 2012. The conference also has a brand new venue: the world-famous British Museum, located in the heart of Bloomsbury, London. Founded in 1753, this museum of human history and culture was the first national public museum in the world. From the beginning it has granted free admission to all 'studious and curious persons' and visitor numbers have grown from around 5,000 a year in the 18th century to nearly 6m today. PEVE Entertainment 2012 will take place in the contemporary conference facilities, designed by Lord Foster to complement the Museum's unique grade-one listed public galleries. During gallery opening hours delegates will have access to the collection, which comprises more than 7m objects, and special exhibitions for inspiration, relaxation and motivation. Ben Keen, Chief Analyst, IHS Screen Digest comments "PEVE Entertainment 2012 marks the 20th PEVE conference and the fifth since the event was acquired by IHS Screen Digest, and it promises to be the best yet. An exciting, wide reaching programme featuring speakers of the highest calibre from both sides of the Atlantic, an opportunity to engage directly with real consumers - and a few surprises too - combined with a fantastic new venue means this is one event you simply can't afford to miss!"
