Admissions, box office and average ticket prices
Last updated:
March 14, 2012
The annual performance of the cinema exhibition market in China is benchmarked in this table across the key metrics of cinema attendance, box office revenues and average ticket prices. The data consists of historical forecasts and five year forecasts. Box office revenues are gross figures (ie including VAT), and are given in local currency, US$ and Euro. Average ticket prices are defined as the gross box office revenue divided by total admissions and are also given in local currency, US$ and Euro. Data is also benchmarked on a per capita basis for both admissions and box office spending in China. All growth rates are based on the local revenue currency series.
