Last updated:
March 25, 2013
Homes, penetration rates, ARPUs, revenues and market shares for all the television platform types in Canada: cable, MMDS, SMATV, satellite, terrestrial, premium third-party, further subdivided by type (analogue, digital) and by business model (free, pay, subscription, on-demand etc). The revenue numbers are further split into RGU type (ie, television, Internet, telephony revenues) for Canada. All data are forecast five years and two types of homes and penetration figures are presented: primary (which considers only the main television set in the household), and total (which considers all television sets in the household). Using this distinction, multichannel TV penetration in Canada could exceed 100% under the 'total' count, but not under the 'primary' count.
