The total figure considers all multichannel subscriptions in the home, regardless of whether they are used as the primary means of television viewing or whether they serve the main set or secondary sets in the home. In this case, a household can have more than one TV service, and the sum of multichannel television when using total figures in a country can exceed 100 per cent. Data is expressed as a percentage of television households. It runs from1996 and includes five-year forecasts.
