Cinema benefits from 3D power | 29 Jan 10 | A new record for the number of films surpassing the $100m revenue barrier was set last year, and three titles attained over $300m. Also, more films surpassed the $50m mark than at any point since 2004. Although 3D films accounted for 10 per cent of the top titles for the year, together they took a much larger share of total revenues (18%). 3D is extending the active life of films.
