Consumer spending on Blu-ray software
Last updated:
February 09, 2012
Total consumer spending on buying and renting Blu-ray Disc (BD) software since the format?s launch in every territory covered by Video Intelligence for which data is available. Data is provided in local currency and in both US$ and Euros, with the latter currencies available at both variable (using annual averages) and fixed (to the latest calendar year) exchange rates. Consumer spending on BD software includes VAT/sales tax for every territory except US/Canada, where this cannot be calculated at a national level. This metric is probably the most widely quoted when measuring the size and evolution of the home entertainment sector.
