This table shows the number of households in USA containing at least one standalone Blu-ray Disc player or Blu-ray Disc recorder by profile type: 3D Blu-ray Disc (Profile 5.0), BD-Live (Profile 2.0), Bonus View (Profile 1.1) and Grace Period (Profile 1.0). The data given in the Blu-ray Disc households by player profile table indicates the number of households for which that profile represents the highest profile available within the home. Some Grace Period and Bonus View machines could be upgraded to make them complaint with the profile immediately above but these numbers show profiles recorded at the time of purchase. BD live (Profile 2.0) players cannot be upgraded to provide 3D playback. The 3D Blu-ray player household number does not include PS3 games consoles data which can be found via both Screen Digest?s Video and Games Intelligence services.
