World - Q3 2011 hardware performance

The first nine months of the year have revealed declining hardware sales on a global basis when compared to the same period last year. There are, however, pockets of more benign trends such as in the USA on Xbox 360 and PS3, and for those consoles respectively overtaking their rivals in absolute sales terms in the PAL region.
