Regulators approve Verizon's cable deal.
August 20, 2012 The DoJ and FCC have given approval to Verizon's USD3.6 billion deal with the cable operators, under certain conditions in terms of coverage, roaming, and the fixed competitive environment. Verizon will now be able to roll-out LTE services with the AWS band, improving capacity to go with its current 75% network coverage, as it positions LTE to be a key factor of its future services and products.
