I am happy to announce that an additional dimension has been added to Screen Digest Games Intelligence. Currently our data is split by territory and platform, from today we have the capability to segment industry data by publisher as well. Initially we will track games release pipelines by publisher as well as expanding current generation TV console data sets (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) with data on impending and historic packaged games releases. In future we hope to add more publisher focussed data. Today's expansion will add over 300 new data tables to the service.
The new data is extracted from an internal database which records multiple data points for current generation TV console games releases. Since before the launch of Xbox 360 in late 2005 Screen Digest has tracked every single packaged retail title confirmed for current generation TV consoles: Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. These include:
- Release volumes by platform and publisher
- Multiplatform and platform exclusive releases
- Releases based on new IP or sequels
- Releases based on licensed IP
- Core versus casual releases
- Releases split by genre and setting
- Titles based on IP with strong historic sales: over five million and over ten million units
- Developer locations: where are the games makers situated?
Data is amended as new information becomes available. On a quarterly basis Screen Digest publishes a summary the data for the the upcoming quarter in the form of the Games Bulletins which are distributed to all Games Intelligence clients.

New publisher datasets:
We track the tables listed below for all publishers releasing packaged retail games for current generation TV consoles. However we will only split out the publishers for which there is the most data in the third dimension in Games Intelligence. As publishing activity increases or decreases in the generation, Screen Digest can add new publisher datasets with ease.

The publisher datasets comprise the following tables. In some datasets certain tables are omitted where there is not sufficient data to justify publishing to Games Intelligence. The games team collates the data nonetheless and will add more tables as data flows allow.
