The much publicised Nokia Comes With Music (CWM) handsets are set to be released later this year, offering unlimited permanent downloads bundled with the handset purchase. Two of the major labels have agreed to provide content for the service. Although no information has been released concerning operator deals with the CWM handsets, Orange has been reticent to take on the Nokia's current Music Store enabled handsets. Recently the operator signed a deal with Nokia to take on 10 new Nokia handsets with a selection of Ovi content, including games and maps services. No mention was made of Nokia's Music Store. Orange seems set to continue with its own mobile music services and as such is not keen to promote the competition. Unlike Nokia's CWM, users will have to pay monthly for Musique Max rather than getting music 'free' as part of a bundled offer. The success of Musique Max will depend on whether users prove willing to pay for music content on device.
