Swiss mobile company, Sunrise, has relaunched its over the air mobile music download service musicworld. Powered by 24-7 Entertainment, it now offers dual downloads from its catalogue of over 2 million tracks. Users can purchase and download a track either on the computer or mobile and a copy will be sent to the second device. Full-track downloads cost 2.50 CHF although a current promotion prices 100,000 tracks at 1 CHF each. Albums, which can be purchased only on the computer, cost 19 CHF. Users can listen to clips of the tracks prior to purchase and have access to a music recommendation service. Sunrise plans to include dual download music videos and realtones in the service from Spring 2008.
Our take...
Sunrise was one of the first Swiss operators to launch a mobile music download service in December 2005. With both Swisscom and Orange now offering dual download music services, the upgrade to Sunrise's musicworld was needed to keep on par with the competition.
