In recent years, nearly every TV market in Europe has placed digital conversion and analogue switch-off at the top of its political, regulatory and cultural agenda. Several markets across the region are now barely two years away from their target analogue terrestrial switch-off dates. Whilst some markets, such as the UK, are making apparently good progress towards realistic and wholly attainable switch-off dates, others appear to have set ambitious targets that, on the face of it, can never be met.
