Korea - the emergence of a legal digital video market

In 2009 South Korean home entertainment revenues had fallen by over 90 per cent from their peak in 1995. High levels of broadband adoption have helped online piracy to become widespread. However, there are signs that a legal digital movie market is now developing in the country, driven by partnerships between local content owners and remote storage platforms and the introduction of anti-piracy legislation.
