DSL market shrinks in Nordics

The number of DSL broadband connections is shrinking in many of the Nordic countries in the face of increased competition from other access methods: cable, fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) and mobile broadband. In 2009, Screen Digest data shows that DSL connections fell by up to 5.4 per cent in each of the Nordic countries. Meanwhile, we expect mobile broadband to increase its share of the market to 23 per cent in Denmark and 36 per cent in Sweden by 2013.
