Multiplexes Reverse Mid-East Trend
July 07, 2010 Rampant piracy and the growing prevalance of cable TV has hampered the cinema market in the Middle East over the past decade. But the sector is returning to health, thanks to investment in new screens, and the introduction of digital 3D screens in the region. This report covers the cinema market in three countries: Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. Lebanon has the highest cinema admission rates of these markets; investment in the Lebanon cinema infrustructure is strong, and so is growth in box office revenues.
