US rental down in 2010 but will halt ten-year slide in 2011
August 03, 2010 US video rental transactions are on track to grow for the third year running, though spending will decrease again in 2010; but then the market looks set to stabilize and actually post some reasonable mid-single-digit growth rates through 2014. Price and convenience will keep kiosk rentals climbing steadily while value-add streaming revitalizes subscription rental, fostering a near-term growth spurt in the channel.
