At present 21 operators worldwide across the pay platforms distribute content to the PC, although many more have active trials. The PC is well represented as the first form of multiscreen deployment, and is active in eight of 11 DTH deployments. However, relative to the number of operators who have deployed home networking - an initial indicator of whether in-home distribution could be used for a multiscreen service - the PC has far fewer deployments. This difference is particularly stark in IPTV and suggests that network distribution is favoured for getting pay TV content to the PC at present.
