Internet service provider economics
January 12, 2011 Retail broadband revenues in France, Germany and the UK declined by between 5 and 8 per cent last year, as intense price competition between ISPs and shifting patterns of consumption towards bundled broadband services combined to drive average revenues per subscriber down. The incumbent telecos across the big five markets continue to dominate the DSL market, taking roughtly half of all revenues in each market. Tables and charts included:
