Passive TV viewing is progressively becoming something of the past and the will to express opinions on anything, anywhere and at any time has never been stronger. In the past 12 months, start-up companies, pay TV operators, vendors and broadcasters have developed what is called social TV applications (STV apps). This report aims to provide some initial directions and strategy insights into this new industry segment.
