July 08, 2011 3D as a commercial, in-home consumer product launched in early 2010. 18 months on, the 3D TV landscape in Western Europe is still developing - content is viewed both as VOD and on dedicated channels, through HD set-top boxes, 3D BD players and IP and with both active shutter and passive polarised glasses.
