Greece's Nova bets on terrestrial and OTT for growth

Greek satellite pay TV provider Nova is gambling on a new dual service launch to bolster its market share and stem a fall in customer numbers, seeing a future that embraces digital terrestrial television and over the top (OTT) content delivery. Faced with economic turmoil in its home market, the operator has revamped its strategy and started to explore opportunities on new platforms, but with a customer base traditionally reluctant to stump up for pay TV services, the operator's new approach will face an uphill struggle.
