Cable ARPU in Europe up 12% in 2003: UK leads the pack with high multiple service take-up

Average revenue per cable subscriber in Europe rose 12 per cent in 2003 to Euro19. UK is the only big market where TV ARPU is higher than telephony or Internet. TV accounts for 70 per cent of cable revenues in Europe; telephony 15 per cent. More homes in UK take multiple services than in any of the other main markets. Over half of cable revenues in Spain come from telephony; almost none in France. Germany, Benelux and Finland have the lowest cable ARPU in Western Europe
