Device-based platforms emerge as the most effective way of delivering paid-for content Whilst physical media will continue to comprise the bulk of consumer spending on films over the next few years, spending on digital movies is set to grow rapidly. According to Screen Digest data, in 2006 consumer spending on digital movies amounted to €46.0m in Western Europe and the US combined. By 2011 this will have risen to €1,050m.
